How to Rebrand Your Hospitality or Experience-Led Business

Your brand is more than your logo. It's the feeling people get before they ever arrive.

Maybe your business has evo

lved.Your audience has changed.Your offering has grown.Or perhaps your branding simply no longer reflects the experience you're actually delivering.

Whatever the reason, a rebrand isn't about throwing everything away and starting again.

It's about taking what works, understanding what doesn't, and creating a brand that feels much more like where your business is going next.

At Wild & Seek, we work with hospitality, travel, wellness, food & drink and experience-led businesses to create brands that look the part, feel authentic and connect with the people they're trying to attract.

So, where do you start?

01. Start with the experience, not the logo

This is where a lot of rebrands go wrong.

The first question shouldn't be:

“What should our new logo look like?”

It should be:

“What do we want people to feel when they experience our brand?”

Think about the whole journey.

From discovering you on Instagram or Google, to visiting your website, making a booking, arriving at your property, opening the door, reading the menu, receiving an email or leaving a review.

Every one of those moments contributes to your brand.

Your visual identity should reflect that experience, not sit separately from it.

02. Get clear on who you're trying to attract

A rebrand is a chance to get really clear about your audience.

Not just demographics.

Think about:

  • What do they value?

  • What are they looking for?

  • What makes them choose you?

  • What other brands do they love?

  • What would make them trust you?

  • What kind of experience are they willing to pay more for?

A boutique hotel, an eco-retreat and an adventure company might all operate within tourism — but their customers are looking for very different experiences.

Your brand needs to make that difference obvious.

03. Work out what makes you different

This is your why should someone choose us?

Maybe it's the location.

Maybe it's your approach to sustainability.

Maybe it's the food.

Maybe it's the people.

Maybe it's the experience you create.

Maybe it's something much harder to put into words — the atmosphere, the pace, the feeling of being there.

Your brand strategy should uncover those things and turn them into something people can actually see, understand and remember.

04. Look at the brand you have now

Before changing everything, take a step back.

What's working?

What's outdated?

What's inconsistent?

Where does your current brand feel like you — and where doesn't it?

Look across your:

Website · Instagram · Photography · Signage · Packaging · Menus · Printed materials · Email · Booking journey · Physical space

You may discover that you don't actually need to start again.

You might simply need to bring everything together.

05. Define your visual direction

Now we get to the fun bit.

But instead of jumping straight into colours and fonts, your visual identity should come from the strategy you've already developed.

What should the brand feel like?

Wild? Refined? Relaxed? Curious? Natural? Playful? Sophisticated? Adventurous?

From there, we can explore:

  • Colour

  • Typography

  • Photography

  • Graphic elements

  • Illustration

  • Texture

  • Layout

  • Logo and brand marks

The result should feel cohesive — but it shouldn't feel overly polished or generic.

Good branding should have a point of view.

06. Make sure your photography is doing its job

For experience-led businesses, photography can be one of your most powerful brand assets.

You're not simply selling a room.

You're selling the morning light through the window.

The food on the table.

The landscape outside.

The feeling of arriving somewhere completely different.

The people you'll meet.

The memories you'll make.

Your imagery should help someone imagine themselves experiencing your brand.

07. Bring the brand into the real world

A beautiful brand identity is only the beginning.

What happens when someone actually interacts with it?

Your brand might appear on:

Menus · Signage · Guest information · Packaging · Uniforms · Social media · Brochures · Business cards · Welcome cards · Wayfinding · Room details · Product labels

These are the little moments that turn a visual identity into a brand experience.

And this is where consistency really matters.

08. Redesign your website around the experience

Your website shouldn't just tell people what you do.

It should make them want to experience it.

For hospitality and travel brands especially, your website often has one job:

make someone picture themselves there.

That means strong photography, clear messaging, intuitive navigation and a journey that makes taking the next step feel effortless.

And yes — it still needs to work beautifully on mobile.

09. Don't forget your story

People don't connect with a list of services.

They connect with stories.

Why did you start?

Why this place?

Why this approach?

What do you believe in?

What makes the experience different?

Your story doesn't need to be dramatic.

It just needs to be true.

Good brand messaging gives people a reason to care.

10. Make the new brand feel like you

The best rebrands don't feel like they've been pulled from a Pinterest board.

They feel distinctive.

They feel like the business.

They feel like somewhere you'd actually want to go.

That's particularly important for experience-led brands.

Because ultimately, you're not just selling a product.

You're selling a feeling.

So, do you actually need a rebrand?

Ask yourself:

Does our current brand reflect the business we are today?

Does it attract the kind of customer we want more of?

Does our website feel like the experience we deliver?

Is our visual identity consistent across every touchpoint?

Would someone understand what makes us different within a few seconds of discovering us?

If the answer is no to several of these, it might be time to take another look.

A rebrand doesn't have to mean starting again.

Sometimes it's a complete transformation.

Sometimes it's a strategic refresh.

Sometimes it's simply bringing all the pieces together so they finally feel like they belong to the same business.

At Wild & Seek, we help hospitality, travel, wellness, food & drink and experience-led businesses create brands that feel distinctive, considered and true to the experience they're offering.

Because your brand should feel like somewhere people want to go.
